We know that Samsung is working on a Active version of the Galaxy S5. Earlier this month photos of Samsung Galaxy S5 Active and specifications were leaked via FCC documents. Soon, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Prime started floating around. A most recent video leak shows a Galaxy S5 handset with an all-aluminum back panel-a design feature. Its boasts of a similar design to the S4 Active that was launched in December last year. The Galaxy S5 Active shown in the video carries the model number SM-G870A and is an AT&T model. Galaxy S5 is dust and water resistant phone, so it will be interesting to see what kind of features will the Galaxy S5 Active have.
As per the video leaked by TK Tech News, the display of the S5 Active is said to be “more crisp” than the regular Galaxy S5. Moving on, the device sports a removable back cover and a heart rate sensor similar to Galaxy S5. The phone displays the name ‘Samsung Galaxy S5 Active’ at the time of booting and has hardware navigation buttons at the bottom unlike the soft keys on Galaxy S5.
Running on Android 4.4.2, it has a removable battery and appears to run the same version of TouchWiz that you are now used to with the Galaxy S5. The device comes with a rubber bumper integrated into the edges of the phone that gives it the rugged look common in Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Active.
Samsung has two upcoming events scheduled, one on May 28th which will only be an health-related announcement and another in June that is likely to release in two new tablets.
