Along with the Fonepad 7 refresh, Aus also unveiled the Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) at the Computex 2014 in Taipei. This has almost similar specifications as the new Fonepad 7 (FE375CG) , but this has a 8-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS display, compared to the 7-inch HD display on the Fonepad 7. It also comes with Dual SIM support and a 1.83 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU.

It has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash and has a different camera arranged compared to the Fonepad 7. It comes in black, white, gold and red colors.
The SIM card slots and the microSD card slot are present under the flap on the back.
It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, proximity and ambient light sensors on the top.
It has larger stereo speaker grills on the front and also has SonicMaster technology. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with Zen UI on top.
The power button and the volume rockers are present, just below the camera module. The tablet is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2014.
