HTC has finally announced the Desire EYE, the company’s latest smartphone in the Desire series with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new HTC Sense UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 13-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens and dual LED flash that makes it a perfect selfie smartphone.
It comes with dedicated two-step camera key for focus, and capture for comfortable one-handed captures. It comes with a new HTC EYE Experience and Zoe 1.0. The HTC EYE Experience introduces face tracking up to four people in the same room, face cropped and positioned on the screen for maximum clarity.
It has screen sharing desktop functionality for video chat. It has Split Capture function that lets you capture simultaneously on the front and back cameras into one split-screen image or video. The face fusion feature allows you to merge your face with another person. Zoe 1.0 has short, medium and long Zoes that can be made with just a couple of still images, or an entire series of video clips with content engine 4.
It has dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, similar to other HTC smartphones, but it is hardly visible since it is close to the bezel. It has 3 microphones for enhanced background noise cancellation. It has bright, dual-colour, water-resistant unibody design.
