Xiaomi introduced their first tablet, the Mi Pad back in May, now a 9.2-inch tablet with 1280 x 720 pixels display and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU has surfaced on GFXBench database. The tablet that runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat), according to the listing, doesn’t have a name yet. This was first spotted by Gizmobic.
A 9.2-inch 720p screen has just 160 ppi pixel density, but this could be a prototype or the tablet might not be final yet. Apart from the display and processor, the benchmarks reveal 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, the usual set of connectivity features such as Bluetooth, WiFi and SIM support.
Xiaomi is already a popular brand in Asian markets, including India for its smartphones in affordable price range. A budget tablet with SIM support and voice calling capabilities would be a great addition. We just have to wait for more details to find out if the product is real.
