Vivo just announced the Vivo X5Max at an event in China, as expected. The Vivo X5Max becomes the world’s slimmest smartphone with 4.75mm thickness, slimmer than the 4.85mm Oppo R5 smartphone that was announced in October. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with 3.98mm narrow bezels, powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Funtouch OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has magnesium alloy and stainless steel body and a stainless steel back with anti-fingerprint coating. It has YAMAHA YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip, SABRE ES9601 DAC and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier for better audio output. Vivo is calling the combined audio set up as Hi-Fi 2.0.
It has dual SIM support, a micro SIM and a nano SIM that doubles up as a microSD slot when you don’t want to use the secondary slot. It even has 4G connectivity. It has a 3.5mm audio jack with interlocking design to fit the thin frame.
