Acer has announced Liquid Z220 and Liquid Z520, two new budget Android smartphones in the Z series ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona. The Liquid Z220 is the company’s first budget smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with 89-degree wide-angle lens. The Liquid Z520 has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core quad processor and comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera. Both these smartphones have a 2-megapixel front facing and dual SIM support.

Both these smartphones come in black and white colors. The Acer Liquid Z220 starts at 89 Euros (US$ 99 / Rs. 6,140 approx.) and would roll in Europe starting this march, while the Liquid Z520 will be available in Europe in April with a starting price of 119 Euros (US$ 133 / Rs. 8,210 approx.).
