Xiaomi has introduced a new 40-inch Mi TV 2, a year after introducing the first Mi TV 2 with a 49-inch 4K display. The new Mi TV 2 has a 40-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD display from Sharp with 176-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a 1.45GHz quad-core MStar 6A908 Cortex-A9 processor, has 1.5GB RAM and supports a range of apps from the Mi Store. It lacks a microSD slot that was present on the 49-inch Mi TV 2 4K TV.
It supports H.265 10-bit hardware video decoding and Dolby MS12 virtual surround sound. It has 14.5mm slim frame, minimal aluminium brackets for a better viewing experience and has 11 key minimal remote control.

The new Xiaomi Mi TV 2 (40″) is priced at 1999 Chinese Yuan (US$ 322 / Rs. 20,035 approx.). It is now available for order from the official website and goes on sale in China on March 31st. No word on the global roll out yet.
