Samsung is looking forward to expand its Galaxy J series lineup with two mid range devices – J5 and J7. The company launched the Galaxy J1 smartphone in India in February.
Samsung has already trademarked J5 and J7 names in January. Now SamMobile has revealed specs of the Galaxy J5 and J7. First up, the Galaxy J5 (SM-J500F) will sport a 5.0-inch HD TFT LCD display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor. It will come with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card) and a 2,600 mAh battery to live.
On the other hand Galaxy J7 that had appeared in user agent profile last week will come with a a 5.5-inch HD TFT LCD display and powered by either a 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz octa-core Marvel PXA1936 processor fitted with 1.5GB of RAM and 4/8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card) and a 3000mAh battery.
Both models will arrive with a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, though there is a possibility that the final version of both devices may launch with an 8MP rear shooter and LTE connectivity. Moreover, both the phones will run on Android 5.1, making the Galaxy J5 and J7 Samsung’s first handsets to come with this build out of the box. As for the dimensions, the Galaxy J5 be 8.5 mm thin and a weight of 149 grams, while the Galaxy J7 will be 7.9 mm thin, and will weigh 170 grams.
There is no word about the announcement of the Galaxy J5 and J7.
