Huawei also announced P8max, a new smartphone in the P series along with the P8. It has a 6.8-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) JDI IPS-Neo full HD display with 83% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, is powered by Huawei’s own Octa-Core Hisilicon Kirin 930/935 processor with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Huawei own Emotion UI 3.1 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, dual-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has DX19 high thermal conductivity alloy that’s found in some luxury automobiles; the thermal conductivity coefficient is nine times higher than that of stainless steel, and 3.8 times higher than aluminum – the magnesium alloy used in most phones, says the company. The smartphone is just 6.8mm thin, comes with dual SIM support with 4G connectivity on both the slots. The second slot can also be used as a microSD slot.
