OnePlus One may be the “flagship killer” but most of its users have a common complaint regarding the handset and that is the touhscreen issue. The company is now addressing this issue in its latest firmware update.
“We take your feedback seriously and have been putting the One through a battery of tests and determined that there are different issues at play, some software and some hardware. We have, and will continue, to stand behind our products and honor warranty.”
said Carl Pei on OnePlus’ forum.
The Chinese smartphone maker has been working with Synaptics, developer of touch and biometrics hardware, to find a resolution for the bug. The phone which has been launched about a year ago has been facing the touchscreen issue. However, that has not stopped the popularity of the device. Carl Pei has not specified in the blog when will it roll out the firmware update or whether it will come via an OTA update.
