Vivo’s much rumoured X5 Pro smartphone is now official. The smartphone has been launched in China, but there is no word on its global release.
The highlight of Vivo X5 Pro is its eye recognition technology that identifies users by scanning their eyeball vein pattern. It features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D glass technology. The dual-SIM device has also got support for 4G LTE networks.
The X5 Pro is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with company’s Funtouch OS 3.0 skinned on top. The 16GB internal storage on the device is further expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front 8-megapixel camera. The device measure 147.9×73.45×6.44mm and is backed by a 2300mAh battery.
The Vivo X5 Pro is priced at CNY 2,698 (approximately US$ 435 / Rs. 27,800), but the availability is unknown as yet.
