Yesterday we saw a sneek peak at Google’s upcoming standalone Android app. Today, Android Police is offering more details about the Photo app and how it will categorize photos.
Google Photos will identify individual faces and segregate them. In addition, it will also accurately recognize objects like cars, food and arrange them accordingly. The app shows these groups in the search interface that can be accessed with a floating action button in the main stream. These groups are created on the basis of the photos that are taken by you and are categorized accordingly.
The report shares that some of the groups that are included in the app are, cars, skylines, dogs, flowers, stadiums, food, weddings, sky, ships, bridges, sunsets, beer, and concerts. It says that the app is accurate most of the time but does is prone to few errors here and there. Users can delete individual photos in the groups with the menu option. Google is expected to launch the Photo app on May 28th at the Google I/O conference.
