Lenovo launched the Yoga 500, a multi-mode Windows 8.1 laptop in India earlier today at Rs. 57,990. We got to check it out at the event. Here is a quick look at the hardware.
The laptop offers 360 degrees of flexibility and four modes – Laptop, Stand, Tent, and Tablet, similar to other latest Yoga laptops. The Tent mode makes it comfortable for watching video.
It has a 14-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) anti-glare 10-point multi-touch display with 200 nits of brightness and is powered by up to Intel Core i7-5500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.00 GHz), Intel HD Graphics or up to 2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics. It supports up to 8GB DDR3L RAM and up to 1TB HDD or up to 1TB SSHD. Above the display there is a 0.3MP HD webcam with Single Array or HD Digital microphone.
The laptop measures 340 mm x 235 mm x 21.5 mm and weighs 1.8kg.
It has two 1.5W stereo speakers on the back with Dolby Home Theater certification.
On the left side there is a power connector, a USB 2.0 slot, 4-in-1 card reader, a Audio combo jack with a mute button and volume rocker buttons.
On the right side there is a power button, 2 USB 3.0 slots, a RJ-45 port, HDMI-out and a RJ-45 port. It supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n or a/c and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It has a 3 Cell 45WH battery that promises up to 6 hours of battery life. The laptop is available across Lenovo Exclusive stores and thedostore.com in India.
