While we still wait for a full fledged upgrade to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, Redmond has released yet another SKU for the surprisingly popular tablet. The new SKU of the Surface Pro 3 integrates the Core i7 processor of the higher end version while cuts down on storage to make it just that much more affordable for users.

With year old specifications, there is reason to believe that the new SKU might be a move to get rid of inventories while readying up the next gen tablet for launch. Whatever the reason may be, the new Surface Pro 3 SKU with a Core i7 processor and 128GB of storage is quite a good deal at $1299.
