Chinese manufacturer Vivo has introduced a new ‘V’ series of smartphones in India. The company announced two smartphones – Vivo V1 and Vivo V1 Max – on Tuesday saying that these will be priced between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, and will hit stores later this month.
Commenting on the launch, Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo smartphones India said:
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new smartphone series. With ‘V’ series we bring unbeatable proposition, price and products in the mid-segment category. Our first device in the category, Vivo V1 incorporates cutting-edge technologies, exclusive music features and the highest quality camera shots.
The Vivo V1 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, is powered by a 64 bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The 16 GB internal storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).
It packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel wide-angle front facing camera with 6P lens and F2.0 aperture. The handset is backed by a 2300mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with company’s FunTouch UI skinned on top.
The Vivo V1 supports dual-SIM and 4G LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and GPS/ A-GPS.
Vivo didn’t provide any details of the V1 Max, but said it will also launch soon.
