Samsung is said to be developing a 12 inch Windows tablet, as per a new rumor from a China-based Weibo user. The company had launched a line of Windows Tablets under the ‘ATIV’ brand some time back.
The report claims that tablet will sport a 12-inch screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 or 3840×2400 and power a 14nm Intel Core M chip with 4GB RAM. It will come with an S Pen and hence may offer some of the same capabilities found on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The tablet would be thin at 6.2mm, and will supposedly weigh 600 grams. It is also speculated that this tablet might be launched around the same time as the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is expected this October.
Microsoft released Windows 10 last month and the company might have started discussions with OEMs to bring its latest OS on devices. It must be noted that this is just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed yet.
