Asus introduced VivoStick PC at the IFA earlier this week. It is a tiny dongle, similar to the compute stick that will transform your TV or monitor with a HDMI port to a full-fledged PC running Windows 10. We got to check out the compact PC at Asus’ booth, here is the photo gallery.
It is powered by a Intel’s 14nm Cherry Trail platform, has 2GB of DDR3L RAM and 32 GB of storage.
It looks premium with shiny finish and interesting color combinations, compared to other compute stick devices.
There is a HDMI port on one side of the VivoStick that is protected by a cap.
On the other side there is a power button, which again is unique.
There is micro USB slot for power input and lanyard holes on the right side. This will let you carry it easily. You can also see small holes for letting out the exhaust. It measures 138mm x 15mm x 14mm and weighs 70 grams.
On the other side there is an audio jack, a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 slot. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 support. Apart from Blue, the VivoStick comes in White and Black colors. It is priced at an MSRP of $129, which coverts to about Rs. 8,540. Asus haven’t announced when it plans to roll out the compact yet.
