HTC has hinted in a latest teaser that it is about to announce two new flagship smartphones at the end of this month. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has sent out press invites for an event scheduled on September 29th.
Popular leakster @upleaks revealed the press invite on his official Twitter account. The invite that was apparently taken from HTC’s official Weibo account reads “double flagship new machine will be released in Hakone, Japan” followed by the date 29th September. Meanwhile, HTC missed its September 6th date where it was expected to announce the Aero/One A9.
It is now said that HTC might announce the Aero/One M9 at the September 29th event and as the invite reads “double flagship” the company could announce the Butterfly 3 smartphone also at the same event. At the moment details about the event are scarce. Earlier leaks and rumors have stated that the HTC Aero/One A9 will sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by a MediaTek’s high end deca-coreHelio X20 SoC. It will have 4GB RAM, 3500mAh battery and may come with 2.5D glass and a full metal unibody design.
HTC announced the HTC J Butterfly HTV31 that is expected to be the Butterfly 3 internationally. Now along with the the Aero/OneM9 the company could announce the next Butterfly device. It remains to be seen what does HTC actually has in its kitty.
