Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in July, following which it was launched in India this month at Rs 39,400. The Tab S2 9.7 is the successor of the Galaxy Tab S series that was launched last year. Let’s take a detailed look at the hardware and specs of the tablet in this photo gallery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 sports a 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixel) 4:3 QXGA Super AMOLED display and is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 5433 (1.9 GHz + 1.3 GHz) processor with Mali T-760MP6 GPU. Running Android 5.0 (Lollipop), the tablet has a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

At the front, the tablet has Samsung logo at the center along with a 2.1MP front-facing camera. Also present is the ambient light sensor.

Below the display, the tablet has a trademark home button at the center which is backed in with a fingerprint scanner. There are two capaicitve touch buttons on either side of this home button.

The power button and volume rockers are present on the right side.

On the bottom there is a Micro USB slot and 3.5mm audio jack along with speaker grills.

The nano SIM card slot and micro SD card slot on the right side. The tablet measures169 x 237.3 x 5.6mm and weighs 392g.

There is a 8MP rear camera at the back along with Samsung branding at the center. There are push clips on the back for attaching accessories such as keyboard covers.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 comes with a 5,870mAh built-in battery and connectivity options on the tablet include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS and GLONASS. It comes in Gold, Black and White colors.
