Chinese smartphone maker Phicomm entered India back in June with the launch of its Passion 660 smartphone for Rs. 10,999. Today the company has announced a Rs. 2,000 price cut for the smartphone, which will be available for Rs. 8,999 on Amazon.in starting from today. To remind you, the Passion 660 has a 5-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Expect OS 5.0, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has unibody premium magnesium alloy build and 4G LTE support.

With the price cut Passion 660 now competes with the YU Yureka Plus, Lenovo K3 Note and other smartphones in the similar price range. Hope the company would offer an upgrade to Android Lollipop soon, since it still runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), while most other competing smartphones were launched with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
