Samsung was said to be working on a new powerful SoC dubbed as Exynos M1 and soon it had appeared on Geekbench 3 benchmarks last month. Now, the SoC which is also known as Monngoose M1 has surfaced again in benchmark testings.
Image of the Exynos 8890 Octa-Core SoC which will probably be the M1 was spotted on Weibo claiming that it is running at 2.3 GHz and scored 2294 points in single-thread test and 6,908 points in multi-thread testing. The processor was tested in Power Saving Mode and it scored 1,710 points in the single-threaded test and 4,896 points in the multi-threaded test. In case of Ultra Power Saving Mode, the Exynos chipset scored 1,100 points and 3,209 points in single-threaded and multi-threaded GeekBench tests respectively.
The latest benchmarks are impressive and improved than the once that were leaked earlier suggesting that Samsung is working on increasing its performance. The new chipset is likely to make it’s debut with the Samsung Galaxy S7 but nothing is official as of now.
