Motorola has announced the most expected DROID Turbo 2 smartphone along with the DROID Maxx 2. The DROID Turbo 2 is an enhanced version of the Moto X Style that packs a slightly smaller 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED 540 ppi display. It also has Moto ShatterShield, the world’s first shatterproof display. Motorola says that the display is guaranteed not to crack or shatter for up to 4 years. It packs a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 3760mAh battery, slightly bigger than the Moto X Style and has the same front and rear cameras. The DROID Maxx 2 is a variant of Moto X Play.

The Motorola DROID Turbo 2 comes in Black Soft Grip, White Soft Grip, Grey Ballistic Nylon and Black Pebbled Leather colors and also lets you customize using Moto Maker. It will be available with contract at $26 per month for 24 months or $624.00 off contract from Verizon. The Motorola DROID Maxx 2 comes in Black with Deep Sea Blue Back and White with Winter White Back colors and will be available with contract at $16 per month for 24 months or $384 off contract from Verizon. Both the new DRIODs will be available online and in stores starting October 29th.
