Xiaomi introduced the Mi Pad 2, successor of last year’s Mi Pad few weeks back. We managed to get one from China, here is the unboxing.

The Mi Pad 2 has the same 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi as the first Mi Pad, but the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor has been replaced by a 2.24 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor with Intel HD Graphics. It has 2GB of RAM and comes in 16GB or 64GB storage variants without an expansion slot. We got the 16GB version.
It has a 5-megapixel camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture, 75-degree wide-angle lens. There is a Mi logo on the front. The tablet is 6.95 mm thick and has slim metal body and weighs 322 grams. It doesn’t come in 4G variant, but it comes with WiFi 802.11 ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 and even has a USB Type-C port. On the back it has a 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and f/2.0 aperture. It has a 6010mAh battery and comes in Champagne Gold and Cherry Pink colors as well.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is currently available only in China for 999 Yuan (US$ 154 / Rs. 10,220 approx.) for the 16GB version and 1299 Yuan (US$ 200 / Rs. 13,290 approx.) for the 64GB version. There is also a Windows 10 version with 64GB of internal storage at the same price of the Android version.
