Xiaomi has launched its 20000mAh Mi Power Bank in India, as Hugo Barra had promised at the Redmi 3 launch event in India last month. The power bank comes with nine layers of circuit protection, similar to other Mi power banks. This has ABS plastic body, compared to aluminium body on other Mi power banks, hence it offers a better grip and prevents scratches.
Even though it has more batteries, it weighs just 338 grams, lighter than the 350 gram 16000mAh Mi power bank, mainly due to the change in material. It has a battery level indicator LEDs as usual, micro USB slot for charging the power bank and two standard USB slots for charging two devices at a time.
It offers 5.1V / 2.1A (3.6A max) output and has fast charging (5V/2A 9V/2A 12V/1.5A) that takes only 3 hours to charge the power bank up to 11000mAh, according to Xiaomi. The batteries on the inside are manufactured by LG or Panasonic and it promises up to 93% conversion rate.
The Xiaomi Mi 20000mAh Mi Power Bank is priced at Rs. 1699 in India and will be available through flash sales at at 11AM, 2PM, and 5PM on April 6th from mi.com. We unboxed the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank fast charging support recently, check out the video.
