Xiaomi Mi Band 2 was teased by the company’s co-founder and CEO Lei Jun last month. Later he confirmed that the fitness tracker has been delayed by a month due to production issues and will not be announced along with the Mi Max. Today he has confirmed that it is back in production and the company is planning to release it sometime early June.
The CEO briefly showed off the upcoming fitness tracker and its touch screen function at the Mi Max event earlier this week. He said that he has been using it for 20 days on a single charge, still 36% of charge is left. This states that the Mi Band 2 will have a good battery life even with a touch screen.
Mi Band 2 shows time, battery status, daily steps, BPM and other statistic that are confirmed by new live images. It also has a hardware button, but the function of it is not known yet. We should know all the details about the Mi Band 2 in a few weeks.
