Xiaomi introduced MIUI 8 at global launch event in June and rolled out MIUI 8 global beta ROM for Redmi Note (3G and 4G), Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 2 and Mi Max (32GB) smartphones last month. Now the company has confirmed that it will roll out the stable ROM for Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G starting from August 23rd. It was supposed to roll out on August 16th, 2016, but got delayed.
MIUI 8 brings several new features such as redesigned colors, new Gallery app, Mi cloud photos, Scrolling screenshot, Dual apps to use two accounts in all your apps and dual space to manage work and personal profiles, new Calculator app with advanced calculations and conversions, Floating ball to add your favourite apps and frequent actions for better one-handed control, MIUI caller ID to identify numbers from Amazon, Swiggy, Dominos, Zomato and more, T9 Hindi keyboard, Mobikwik integration and more.
Xiaomi said that it will roll out MIUI 8 ROMs for other devices such as Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 (Snapdragon 650), Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/Prime, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 5, Mi Note, Mi Max 32GB gradually.
