While Google is all set for its big launch event of the year on October 4th, a new report from Android Police has come out claiming that the search giant will introduce it’s a new home router with its own branding alongside the anticipated HTC-made Pixel smartphones, new 4K Chromecast, and the Google Home.
According to the report, Google will introduce its ‘own-brand Wi-Fi router called Google Wifi’ which will have ‘smart’ features and will cost $129. There aren’t many details as of now, but citing an undisclosed source the report further adds that the Google Wifi device will essentially be like the voice-enabled Amazon Echo Dot speaker.
Last year, Google had unveiled the OnHub router in partnership with Asus and the first OnHub router was launched with TP-Link in August 2015.
To remind you, Google’s official invites for October 4 is already out where company is expected to launch its next-generation smartphones in the Nexus lineup that are expected to be called Pixel and Pixel XL, as rumored earlier. It has also setup a madeby.google.com website that shows October 5th as date for India.
