On August 2nd 2016, Samsung introduced what it called as it’s very best smartphone ever. Right on cue, as the embargo lifted, we saw rave reviews and in fact FoneArena too praised it as an excellent smartphone. The ensuing two months however have been a continuous series of unfortunate events leading to the company canceling the product. From product recalls to flight bans due to multiple burnt devices, a faulty battery and an inability to fix the issue has wiped off over $17 billion from the company’s market cap.
