Lenovo today introduced Smart Assistant, a new mainstream digital personal assistant speaker built in collaboration with Amazon, powered by Amazon’s Alexa cloud-based voice services. It recognizes users’ voice commands to conduct web searches, play music, create lists, calendar reminders and much more. It has eight 360-degree far-field microphones with noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation.
“It is also designed to run Lenovo smart home devices, as well as scores of existing third-party products to expand user options,” said Lenovo. It is powered by Intel Celeron N3060 processor, has 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 1 x 5W Tweeter + 1 x 10W Woofer, weighs 760 grams, has WiFi802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Lenovo also introduced Smart Storage, a secure digital storage solution with massive 6TB capacity, dual-band wireless access and multi-device auto-sync capabilities. It also has integrated facial recognition software that can organize your entire photo library based on faces with high accuracy.
The Lenovo Smart Assistant comes in Light Gray, Green and Orange colors, starts at $129.99 (Rs. 8,890 approx.), and will be available in beginning in May 2017. Lenovo Smart Assistant Harman Kardon Edition starts at $179.99 (Rs. 12,300 approx.). The Lenovo Smart Storage starts at $139.99 (Rs. 9,570 approx.)., and will be available beginning in May 2017.
