WhatsApp now has 200 million monthly active users in India. The Facebook owned messaging app has reached this milestone by adding 40 million users in just three months at it had 160 million monthly active users in November.
WhatsApp co-founder, Brian Acton called on information technology (IT) minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to discuss ways in which the company can contribute to India’s vision for digital commerce. India is also the biggest market for WhatsApp being a second largest smartphone market.
