Facebook has added yet another feature to Messenger. The social network has rolled out live locations that will allow Messenger users to share their location with friends and family in real-time but only for an hour at a time.
Facebook Messenger already supported location sharing, however you could simply send a location and it would display that on a map as a single point. With live location sharing, the location point moves along with you on the map so your friends and family can track your movement, but only for an hour. There will be an indicator to show you how much time is remaining. You can share live location with a single person or a group.

In order to share your Live Location on iOS and Android, you will have to tap the More icon and select Location. You will see a map of your current location and the option to tap a blue bar to share your Live Location. You can stop sharing your Live Location at any time by tapping the red “Stop Sharing” text.
The live location feature is rolling out globally and will be available on iOS and Android. Last week, Google Maps also received real-time location sharing feature.
