The Moto G5 has a similar design as the G5 Plus. It has a 5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Since the display is slightly smaller it has a pixel density of 441 ppi. It also has a front-ported loudspeaker and a 5MP front-facing camera, same as the G5 Plus.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 SoC, which is not powerful and power efficient compared to Snapdragon 625 that powers the G5 Plus. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with expansion slot. We should find out more about the performance and the battery life in the review.
The fingerprint sensor is larger this time and also offers several functions with the one button nav option so there is no need to use back, home, and overview buttons anymore. A simple swipe or tap of the fingerprint reader can trigger these functions.
Even though this doesn’t have a unibody metal design like the G5 Plus, the metal back cover on the G5 offers a premium look and feel. On the back there is a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and it supports PDAF.
The phone also has dedicated dual nano SIM slots below the camera module, as well as a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 128GB. It also has a removable 2800mAh battery. Unlike the 15W Turbo Charging, this has 10W Rapid Charging.
It will be available starting today midnight exclusively on Amazon.in. We will bring you the complete review of the smartphone soon.
