Reliance Jio just announced that it will withdraw its Jio Summer Surprise offer that offers 3-month complimentary benefits of Jio services and free data on recharge of Rs. 303 or more, as advised by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The offer was announced Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries last week.
Jio said that it is in the process of fully complying with the regulator’s advice, and will be withdrawing the 3 months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise as soon as operationally feasible, over the next few days.

It confirmed that all customers who have subscribed to Jio Summer Surprise offer prior to its discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer.
Last month Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) asked the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to re-examine issues relating to the approval granted to the Reliance Jio’s free promotional offer and apprise it of the “outcome and findings of the examination” within two weeks.
