A new contender in the highly competitive mobile space, CENTRiC have rolled out a veritable arsenal of devices that cater to the largest smartphone demographic. Aimed at the youth, the devices aim at striking the perfect balance between performance and style while maintaining an approachable price point. With four devices in their launch portfolio, the aim here was to have something for everyone. Let’s walk through some of the devices on offer and see what they bring to the table.
Starting from the CENTRiC G1, the phone brings styling that is meant to enhance daily use. The sandstone finish at the back improves the grip and makes sure that the phone doesn’t slip out from your hands. Of course, the hardware is just as good as the design with the phone packing a 1.3Ghz MT6735 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. This delivers a good balance between performance and enhanced battery life for all day usage. In terms of storage, there’s 16GB on board that can of course be expanded via the microSD card slot. The CENTRiC G1 is packed with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display that looks bright and vibrant and ensures that your content looks great no matter where you’re watching it.
Next up is the L1. A smaller and perhaps a more ergonomic device for people who prefer portability over sheer screen real estate. The CENTRiC L1 too packs a 1.0 Ghz MT6735P processor paired with 2GB of RAM which gives it just enough power to easily run any application you might throw at it. The 5 inch display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and sports an IPS panel which makes sure that you get great color reproduction. Like most devices by CENTRiC , you get dual SIM card slots as well as a dedicated memory card slot too. The phone is also 4G capable and supports VoLTE too.
Finally we have the P1 and P1 Plus, two phones aimed squarely at those who need the absolute best battery life possible. Both the phone pack 3950 mAh batteries which are rated for 17 hours of continuous talk time. The P1 & P1 Plus both sport 5 inch 720p displays with Dragontrail glass for added protection. Differences between the two are fairly minimal. While the processor remains the same MT6737 1.3Ghz Cortex A53 chipset, the P1 Plus bumps up the RAM from 2GB to 3GB for added multitasking capabilities. Of course, like the other phones in CENTRiC’s portfolio, the devices are dual SIM capable and sport 4G VoLTE support. There’s also dedicated memory card slots that can support up to 256GB storage.
All in all, the company has done well to create a robust portfolio that stretches across market segments and aims at offering class leading hardware. From design to performance and even top notch battery life, there’s probably a CENTRiC phone that suits your requirements perfectly.
