Reliance Jio started testing JioFiber last year. When it reported earnings back in April, it said that it started roll-out of its Fibre to the Home (FTTH) business by offering beta trials in a few locations. It also said that it will expand the scope of the beta trials over the next few months. In May it even confirmed that beta trials are being rolled out in select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara. It also said that JioFiber services are also available for RIL employees in Jamnagar.

The site also took registrations for sometime for preview in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara and Vishakhapatnam.
Jio is expected to officially announce the offer at Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting on July 21, where Jio is expected to announce new Rs.500 VoLTE phone.
