Gionee has rolled out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for A1 users that adds several new features, including option to take panoramic images using the front camera. This was previously restricted only to rear camera, now you take a panoramic group selfies easily covering a lot of people in a frame. You can also capture selfie videos in 1080p Full HD resolution to share on social media.
Additionally, the update also adds new feature that offers visual guidance to the users when capturing selfies. Last month’s OTA update brought Bokeh selfies and support for 10 regional languages for the phone.
To remind you, the Gionee A1 that was launched back in March for Rs. 19,999 has a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1/3.06″ sensor, selfie flash and face beauty features. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and has 4GB of RAM. It runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Amigo OS.
