After several rumors, Google has announced on event on October 4th to unveil its next-generation Pixel smartphones, even though earlier rumor said it would be October 5th. It has also released a video with several questions starting with “Why is my smartphone..?”
Live images and earlier leaks of the phones already confirmed no 3.5mm headphone jack, front-facing stereo speakers, always-on display, squeezable frame, fingerprint sensor on the back and single rear camera for the phones.
The Pixel 2 is said to come with a 4.97-inch 1080p OLED display and the Pixel XL 2 is expected to come with a 5.99-inch Quad HD OLED display. A recent FCC filing revealed that the Pixel 2 will be made by HTC, come with Active Edge squeeze interaction, 64GB internal storage and run on Android 8.0.1. The Pixel XL 2 will be made by LG and is expected to come with 128GB storage.
