Google’s virtual Assistant who is currently available for various phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above is now rolling out for smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop and tablets running Android 7.0 Nougat and 6.0 Marshmallow.
Google is very active in pushing new skills and features to Assistant at regular intervals, and the company earlier this year pushed the support for Assistant to phones running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above. Assistant can help you connect with local services, play songs, recognize songs, set alarms, answers your every request, etc. You can even control your smart devices like plugs and lights, ask about the weather and more.
Google Assistant for tablets running Android 7.0 Nougat and 6.0 Marshmallow will be rolling out over the coming week to users with the language set to English in the U.S. Assistant for phones running Android 5.0 Lollipop whose language is set to English in the U.S., UK, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as in Spanish in the U.S., Mexico and Spain and also rolling out users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil and Korea.
