Twitter and Periscope Timestamps lets you share live videos from any specific moment

Twitter has introduced new Timestamps feature that lets you share live video or replay at any specific moment. Twitter says that it rolled out this feature after seeing user share live videos with a specific time in the video they wanted to talk about.

Previously, users were only able to share the entire live video which made it difficult to discuss what matters most. Sharing Timestamps is easy; when you tap to share a live video, you can easily slide back by using the scroll bar to select the time you want others to watch, then add your thoughts, and Tweet it. Anyone who starts the video will be taken to the exact time within the video you shared.

If the broadcast is still live, users can simply skip to what’s happening by tapping “live” at any time and this feature is available for any live video. Users can also share broadcasts every time something important happens, rather than just once when it begins. The feature is rolling out today and the tool to select exact timestamps is available on the Android and iOS Twitter apps, the Twitter browser site, and Periscope.
