Samsung launched the Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 smartphones with Infinity displays in India last month. Here we have the unboxing of the Galaxy J6, which is the first smartphone in the new J6 series to features an 18.5:9 Infinity display.

The J6 features a 5.6-inch (1480 x 720 pixels) HD+ Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is bright and the viewing angles and color reproduction are good as well. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7870 14nm processor, similar to most of the mid-range smartphones from Samsung. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with Samsung Experience UI on top.
It has an earpiece on the top along with an 8-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, but it doesn’t have ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. It has face recognition as well.
The phone has a metal-like finish on the back, which looks premium. There is a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash on the back. There is also an oval-shaped fingerprint sensor below the camera. The phone has a 3000mAh built-in battery.
In line with other latest Samsung smartphones, this comes with dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots. In addition to Black, the phone also comes in Gold and Blue colors.
It is priced at Rs. 13,990 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and Rs. 16,490 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and is available exclusively on Flipkart online. We will bring you the complete review of the smartphone soon.
