Google CEO Eric Schmidt gave an interview at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. He also announced the Google Android Version 2.3 Gingerbread. Not much other information was revealed except that the Nexus S exists and the announcement of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Eric Schmidt showed off an Android device, they taped over the device to avoid showing much of it but the pictures clearly show that it was the Nexus S which is yet to be announced. Another important thing about the Nexus S is the NFC chip (Near Field Communication) which is a transmission standard for wireless transfer of data over short distances.
From the pictures and video you can see that the Nexus S already has Android 2.3 Gingerbread on it. We hope to see an announcement soon.
