RIM has announced in the BlackBerry India site, that the pre-registration for the WI-Fi version of the BlackBerry PlayBook starts today and it would be available from 23rd June across India. They have also announced exclusive offer for those who pre-registers the PlayBook.
The BlackBerry Playbook was announced last September and the Wi-fi version of the tablet is already available for sale in U.S.
The BlackBerry PlayBook has 7 inch (1024 x 600 pixels), WSVGA, LCD capacitive screen with 4-finger multi-touch and gesture support, 1GHz Dual core processor, 1GB RAM, Wi-fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 5 MP camera and 3MP front camera with 1080p HD recording and Micro HDMI port for 1080p playback. It also has Built-in support for HTML 5 and full Adobe Flash support.
Customers would also get Free HDMI Cable and Leather Case if they pre-register the PlayBook between 9th June and 22nd June 2011, by filling a coupon at the nearest stores. SMS PLAYBOOK <your pincode> to 56070 to know the stores in your area or visit the store locator from the site, where you could experience the PlayBook and also pre-order one.
The pre-registered customers could buy the BlackBerry PlayBook between 23rd June and 30th June 2011, by providing the coupon, and the gifts would be couriered to your address. The pricing is yet to revealed.
