Sony Ericsson announced its first Android Walkman phone W8 this April and it was expected be available in selected countries including India in the second quarter of 2011 and now it’s available in India.
The Sony Ericsson W8 is the Walkman version of the Xperia X8 with the four corner shortcut buttons in the home screen. It is 15.0 mm thick and weighs 104 grams and has 3 inch (320×480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen.
It also comes with 3.2MP camera that could record video at 30fps in VGA resolution, 600MHz ARM 11 Processor and 168 MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi, FM Radio with RDS and microUSB 2.0 and has 128 MB Internal Memory and external memory expandable up to 16GB with microSD Card.
It has 1200 mAh Battery with 4hr 45 mins talk time and 476 hours standby. The phone also comes with the walkman music features such as TrackID and PlayNow.
The phone comes in 3 colors Azure Blue, Walkman Orange and Metallic Red and is available in the online stores such as Flipkart and Saholic at the price of Rs 10950.
