NTT Docomo has announced 22 new phones in Japan that includes 14 smartphones and 8 feature phones. They have also announced GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus SC-02D tablet. They have also launched the dmenu portal that provides apps and DOCOMO’s popular i-mode content for smartphone and dmarket content store that would offer content, including movies, music, e-books and Android applications.
There are five categories of devices such as docomo with series and docomo NEXT series for smartphones, docomo Tablet category for tablets, and docomo STYLE series and Raku-Raku PHONE series for feature phones.
The docomo with series smartphones include
- ARROWS kiss F-03D / F-03D Girls – It comes with a stylus pen to create handwritten diaries or memos and Equipped for wireless battery charging. It has 3.7 inches Wide VGA display, 1.4 GHz CPU, 8MP camera, 1.3MP front camera and it comes in Elegant Pink, Gachi Pink and Precious White colors.
- LUMIX Phone P-02D – It comes with 13MP camera, 4.0 inches (540 x 960 pixels) QHD TFT and 1 GHz Dual Core processor. It comes in Black, Gold and Red Magenta colors
- AQUOS PHONE SH-01D – Waterproof smartphone with 4.5-inch ultra-HD LCD and fast-action features. It has 12.1-megapixel camera with anti-shake feature and CMOS front camera. It features 1 GHz Dual Core processor and comes in Gold and White colors.
- AQUOS PHONE slider SH-02D – Waterproof, slider smartphone with 10-button physical keypad as well as touch-screen soft keys and Equipped for wireless battery charging. It has 3.7 inches ASV LCD display, 8MP camera, 1 GHz processor and comes in Gold and White colors.
- P-01D – It has 3.2 inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT LCD display, 5MP camera , 1 GHz processor comes in Green, Magenta, Turquoise and White colors.
- Q-pot Phone SH-04D – It is the first smartphone designed with Q-pot chocolate motif. The Original CHOCOBED battery charger resembles a piece of tasty chocolate encased in acrylic. It has 3.7 inches (540 x 960 pixels) ASV LCD display. 8MP camera and 1 GHz processor.
- REGZA Phone T-01D – It is just 8.8 mm thick and the first DOCOMO smartphone with fingerprint sensor. It has 4.3 inches (720 x 1,280 pixels )HD display, 13MP camera, secondary CMOS camera, 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor and comes in Black, Bordeaux and Dark Green colors.
The docomo NEXT series for smartphones include
- ARROWS X LTE F-05D – Waterproof and equipped for Xi (LTE service), mobile wallet, one-seg mobile TV and infrared data exchange. It has 4.3 inches (720 x 1,280 pixels )HD display, 13MP camera, secondary 1.3MP CMOS camera, 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor and comes in Blue Black and Magenta colors.
- GALAXY S II LTE SC-03D – It has 4.5-inch organic EL “SUPER AMOLED Plus” display. Boasts powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU.
- MEDIAS LTE-N04D – Waterproof/ dustproof Xi smartphone equipped for mobile wallet functions, one-seg mobile TV, infrared data exchange and auto-synchronization (call/email alerts, etc.) with G-SHOCK wristwatches via Bluetooth. It comes with 1.2 GHz Dual Core CPU, 4.3 inches (720 x 1,280 pixels )HD display and a 8MP camera.
- Optimus LTE L-01D – It comes with 4.5-inch HD IPS display and omes with one-seg mobile TV and mobile wallet functions. It features 1.5 GHz Dual Core CPU, 8MP camera and 1.3MP secondary camera.
- ARROWS μ F-07D – It is just 6.9 mm and weighs only 109 g and it comes with 4.0 inch (480 x 800 pixels) Organic EL Wide VGA display, 5MP camera and 1.4 GHz CPU.
- BlackBerry Bold 9900 – It comes with BlackBerry OS 7
- MEDIAS PP N-01D – Waterproof smartphone with 1,700 mAh high-capacity battery. It has 4.0 inch (480 x 800 pixels) display, 8MP camera and 1.4 GHz CPU.
The feature phones include, F-02D, SH-03D, F-04D, N-02D, N-03D, P-03D, F-06D / F-06D Girls and SH-05D. They have also unveiled the GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus SC-02D tablet. All these smartphones run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and comes with MicroSD slot that supports up to 32GB memory.
These smartphones and the tablet and the feature phones would be available between November and March from the NTT Docomo.
