Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime with Quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU announced


Asus has announced their Eee Pad Transformer Prime Android tablet with Quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and 10.1-inch LED backlit display that offers 178-degree viewing angle and has a maximum brightness of 600 nits. The tablet is powered by Quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and runs on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich expected soon. It is 8.3mm thick and comes with a mini-HDMI output, microSD slot. The keyboard dock has Multi-touch pad, SD Card reader and a USB port.

It comes with pre-loaded apps like SuperNote that would let you take, draw or record notes and Polaris Office which is great for staying productive with the ability to read, edit or create Word, Excel and PowerPoint (MS Office 97-2007) compatible files.
The Tablet is priced at $499 for the 32GB version and $599 for a 64GB version and goes on sale worldwide starting December. The Keyboard dock would be available for $149 separately.
