Huawei Ascend P1 S world’s thinnest smartphone announced


Huawei has announced their world’s thinnest smartphone, Ascend P1 S that is just 6.68mm thin. It is 0.02mm thinner than the Fujitsu ARROWS ES IS12F while the Motorola RAZR is 7.1mm thin. It comes with 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels)  Super AMOLED display. It is powered by dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It weighs 110g.

It packs in 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash with 1080p HD video-capture and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera,  3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and comes with 1800mAh battery.

They have also announced the Ascend P1, which packs similar features which is thicker at 7.69mm, 130g and has 1670mAh battery.

The Ascend P1/P1 S comes in metallic black, ceramic white and cherry-blossom pink. The Huawei Ascend P1/P1 S will be available in Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Australia, Middle East, and China from April 2012.
