Nokia has announced that they would start rolling out Nokia 808 PureView starting from India and Russia this month (May 2012). They announced the Nokia 808 PureView at MWC 2012, which is first smartphone to feature Nokia’s award-winning PureView technology with exclusive Carl Zeiss optics and amazing imaging algorithms. Nokia and Carl Zeiss have agreed to continue their exclusive partnership.
It features a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology that has full HD 1080p video recording and playback. It also features exclusive Dolby Headphone technology and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback.
It has 4-inch AMOLED CBD display with Gorilla Glass protection, 1.3GHz processor and runs on Symbian Belle Future Pack 1 OS. Other features include, NFC, Stereo FM Radio with FM transmitter, HDMI, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, DLNA, aGPS. It has 1400 mAh battery.
