Sony launched the Xperia Z, the company’s latest flagship device in India earlier this week. Here we have Benchmarks of the device. The Sony Xperia Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm APQ8064 processor and Adreno 320 GPU, similar to the HTC Butterfly, Optimus G and the Google Nexus 4. Performance of the device is better in most of the benchmarks when compared with the other quad-core Android Smartphones.

Quadrant Benchmark
The Sony Xperia Z is the top performer in the Quadrant benchmark beating HTC Butterfly by few points.
AnTuTu Benchmark v2.9
The Xperia Z is the leading in the AnTuTu 2.9 Benchmark too.
Vellamo 1.0
The Xperia Z is right behind the HTC Butterfly in the Vellamo browser benchmark.
SunSpider Javascript Benchmark
Even though the Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), it doesn’t come with a stock browser. Chrome is the default browser in the phone, hence the JavaScript scores are higher than the other smartphones.
Linpack Single Thread
Performance of the Xperia Z is similar to the other quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro-powered Android devices.
Linpack Multi-Thread
The Xperia Z is ahead of the HTC Butterfly in the Linpack Multi-Thread.
NenaMark 2
The Adreno 320 GPU in the Xperia Z shows similar performance as the HTC Butterfly and the LG Optimus G in the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark.
