iBall has a launched the Edu-Slide i1017, the company’s new tablet in the Edu series aimed at students. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with Quadcore GPU. It has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. This would compete with the 10-inch tablets, the Spice Stellar Pad Mi-1010 and the Videocon VT10.
Since this is an educational tablet, it comes pre-loaded with educational software content by eTeach that offers education materials for Standard I to XII for both CBSE and SSC (Maharashtra) in English medium and Marathi medium content of SSC students from standards V to X.
