Zen launched the Ultrafone 701 HD back in April at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. We brough you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Most of the phones in the Indian market have the similar MediaTek chip. Let’s see how it performs when compared to other other smartphones in the similar price range.

The phone tops the AnTuTu 3.3 benchmark.
Vellamo 2.0 HTML5
It scores 1462 points in the Vellamo HTML5 browser benchmark.
Vellamo 2.0 Metal
It scores 429 points in the Vellamo 2 metal CPU subsystem performance test.
Linpack Single Thread

Even though the scores are low in the Linpack single-thread benchmark, it scores around 114 points and holds the 3rd place in the Linpack multi-thread benchmark.
NenaMark2
It clocks 44.8 fps in the Nenamark2 GPU benchmark.
GLBenchmark 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
Since the phone has a HD display the GPU could only clock 2.1 fps in the GLBenchmark T-Rex OnScreen test.
GLBenchmark 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen)
The scores are similar to the A116 and the Dream D1 in the GLBenchmark 2.5 Egypt (OnScreen) GPU Benchmark.
Basemark X HD (Onscreen)

Even though the phone clocks just 4.3 FPS in the Basemark X OnScreen benchmark, it clocked 2.34 FPS in the Basemark X OffScreen test, better than some of the smartphones with a HD display.
